Perspective, Learnings, and Key Takeaways from the Recent Microsoft Power Platform Community Conference
With over 150 sessions, hands-on workshops, and Microsoft networking opportunities, the Power Platform Community Conference (PPCC) was a hub of excitement and innovation. MCA Connect was a proud sponsor with a handful of expert attendees. Here are a few key takeaways from our team.
The Transformative Power of AI
It’s no surprise AI and Microsoft Copilot were central themes at PPCC. Over 480,000 organizations use Copilot in Power Platform to enhance productivity and streamline workflow. And the introduction of Copilot Agents and other AI-driven tools points to a future of automation and improved efficiency
Power Automate Enhancements
With significant updates, Power Automate is even more user-friendly and efficient:
Multimodal Recording:
Power Automate Desktop now supports multimodal recording. Users can demonstrate tasks while explaining them to Copilot, which then builds the flow. This feature simplifies the process of creating automated workflows.
Generative Actions:
These new actions allow Copilot to generate logic and actions based on user instructions, simplifying complex flows and making automation more accessible to everyone
Power Apps Updates
Power Apps got a major upgrade with some exciting new features:
Co-Authoring:
Now you can work on the same app with your team at the same time. This means faster development and better collaboration.
Model-Driven Apps:
The new Copilot feature makes finding and entering data a breeze. It can even extract data from plain text like emails. This makes data management a lot easier and more intuitive.
Power Apps Design Plans:
This announcement was a big surprise. Now, you can not only add a prompt but also include helpful information like database diagrams and sample data. This feature works with all types of apps: canvas apps, model-driven apps, and Power Automate flows.
MCA Connect’s industry experts attended the event to show how we help manufacturers automate processes, improve visibility, and expand capabilities with Microsoft Power Platform.

MCA Connect hosted a Manufacturing Panel with Ninja Subramanian and Brian Bailey from Microsoft’s Global Blackbelt Manufacturing Team. Industry leaders Matthew Mady, Director of IT at Wenger Manufacturing, and Alex Sorochinski, Director of IT at Chadwell Supply, discussed their experience with Power Platform. MCA Connect’s lead architects Dag Calafell and Tyler Page shared insights on business drivers for low-code solutions and real-word use cases.

Key themes emerged around the ease of using Power Platform for digital transformation. Power BI serves as the entry point, offering a clear understanding of the platform’s capabilities. Even Shadow IT initiatives can be seamlessly integrated into the IT-governed Power Platform Center of Excellence. This approach ensures that all apps and flows, regardless of their origin, are governed and supported by IT.
